Memphis Grizzlies take on Los Angeles Clippers in game 3.
Welcome to HoopsHabit.com’s NBA Playoffs Live Blog of Game 3 of the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Clippers from the Fed Ex Forum in Memphis, Grizzlies! The tip is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Eastern.
The Memphis Grizzlies find themselves in an o-2 hole, but have a chance to get on the board in Memphis. The Grizzlies must slow the game down against the Clipper and focus there game on getting the ball to center Marc Gasol and power forward Zach Randolph. The Grizzlies lost game two 93-91 on a Chris Paul buzzer beater. The Grizzlies need to get Clippers power forward Blake Griffin in foul trouble and force Paul to become a jump shooter.
The Los Angeles Clippers need to play with the tempo from game one where they beat the Grizzlies 112-91. The Clippers need to avoid the tempo established by the Grizzlies in game two, in which the Clippers squeaked by 93-91. Point guard Mike Conley was sensational in game two scoring 28 points and dishing out 9 assists.
The winner of this game will most likely come down to tempo. If the Grizzlies can keep the score in the 90’s, then the Grizzlies will win, but if the score is 100 or above then the Clipper will take a 3-0 series lead and be just one step away from a sweep over the team that forced them to 7 games during last season’s Western Conference playoffs. Find out which team establishes the tempo. Tune in at 9:30 p.m. to find out.
