The Suns (23-53) are stuck in the midst of an eight-game losing streak, including six in a row at home. Most recently, they dropped a close game to the Golden State Warriors 111-107 on Friday night. It was the first time in eight years that a team shot over 61 percent and lost. Goran Dragic led them with 32 points, with Michael Beasley adding 25 off the bench.
On the other bench, the Hornets (26-50) have lost two in a row, with the last being a 95-83 defeat in Utah. Anthony Davis showed why he was the No. 1 pick, with 24 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks. Greivis Vasquez chipped in with 21 points and nine assists.
