Season Outlook:
The Sacramento Kings are stuck in neutral. With the uncertainty surrounding a possible move from Sacramento, the Kings haven’t done a whole lot to improve their situation on or off the court.
They drafted Thomas Robinson, who is a hard worker and a guy who will give 100 percent defensive effort, for a team that hasn’t been known to do that in recent years.
With Isaiah Thomas, Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins, the Kings have some talent, but just don’t have enough to put together many victories. Leadership needs to be stronger from the top of the franchise, all the way down.
Best-Case Scenario:
The Kings become much more efficient on offense and take more pride in their defense. They still won’t get close to the playoffs, but marked improvement means 35 wins and some hope for the future.
Worst-Case Scenario:
They implode internally with all of the confusion surrounding the franchise’s future. Bad shot selection, turnovers and a general lack of discipline continue to be problems. Evans and Cousins demand trades, and the team wins just 20 games.
