Season Outlook:

The Los Angeles Clippers have to consider their 2011-12 season a success after defeating the Memphis Grizzlies and eventually losing in the second round to the San Antonio Spurs.

It’s a new year and the Clippers have raised their expectations. They’ve added some veteran help in Grant Hill, Jamal Crawford and Lamar Odom to provide leadership, three-point shooting and a big man to stretch the floor.

Anything less than the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference will be considered a huge disappointment and they still have to make sure to get Chris Paul signed to a long-term extension.

Best-Case Scenario:

The Clippers build on last year’s success and the Chris Paul to Blake Griffin tandem becomes the league’s most prolific. They earn the No. 3 seed and find themselves in a Western Conference Finals showdown against the other L.A.

Worst-Case Scenario:

Griffin’s knee isn’t back to 100% and the shooting of the Clippers big men continues to haunt them. They ride Paul as much as they possibly can but only earn the No. 6 seed and lose to the Spurs in round one.
