And just like that, the Milwaukee Bucks are right back into this series following a dominant 120-100 victory over the Phoenix Suns in a critical Game 3 of the 2021 NBA Finals. After falling short in the first two games, Milwaukee roared back as they hosted their first NBA Finals game in nearly 50 years.

Led by the superstardom of Giannis Antetokounmpo, these resilient Bucks showed once again that it’s too early to count them out. It helped to return home, but they were much more efficient on both ends of the floor with fluid ball movement and proper execution defensively.

As the Milwaukee Bucks bounce back against the Phoenix Suns in the 2021 NBA Finals, let’s examine three takeaways from Game 3.

Phoenix were held to just 29.0 percent 3-point shooting on 31 attempts after shooting 50.0 percent from beyond the arc and becoming just the third team to hit 20 3’s in an NBA Finals game during Game 2. Meanwhile, Milwaukee shot 38.9 percent from 3-point range and finally began to click offensively as a team.

The Bucks shot 47.8 percent from the floor and had more assists, rebounds, steals, points in the paint, and fast-break points while committing less turnovers and fouls than the Suns. They dominated all aspects, and Antetokounmpo completely dominated as the best player on the floor by a wide margin with a masterful 41-point performance.

It was a must-win for the Milwaukee Bucks to avoid a 3-0 series deficit, and now with the Phoenix Suns’ series lead being cut in half, the Bucks have momentum heading into Game 4 on Wednesday night with a chance to tie it up. Let’s dive into three takeaways from the third duel of these NBA Finals.
