After completely shaking up their roster during the 2019 free agency, the New York Knicks are set for a new era to begin.

It is fair to say that it’s been quite an eventful summer for the New York Knicks organization as well as their fans.

More from Hoops Habit

After failing to land the first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, the team from The Big Apple returned empty-handed from the free agency flea market. As a result, the front office shifted their focus towards filling the roster with talented veterans that would be crucial to the development of the younger ones.

As hilarious as it may sound, the New York Knicks currently possess one of the deepest teams in the entire league. And even though this term is usually being used to describe championship-caliber teams, nobody can deny that this Knicks roster is stacked.

Don’t take this the wrong way. The Knicks are far from contending for a championship. Like really really far. But despite that, finally having a roster with 16 quality ballplayers is something the Knicks can finally boast about.

The Knicks made a number of signings in July. Seven to be exact. Thus, with the additions of RJ Barrett and Ignas Brazdeikis via the 2019 Draft, this brings it up to a total of nine new players.

Even though we have to wait and see how all these ingredients fit together, there may be a few of the bunch that seem to stand out. Either due to their previous seasons, bright potential or preseason success, this is a way-too-early ranking of the Knicks newcomers.
