The Denver Nuggets beat the San Antonio Spurs 114-105 in Game 2 of their first round playoff series. Here are the biggest takeaways from their come-from-behind victory.

The Denver Nuggets finished the regular season with the second-best record in the Western Conference. Unfortunately, despite their impressive season, it was the experienced San Antonio Spurs who prevailed in Game 1 of this first round playoff series.

After coming up short in the series opener, the Nuggets knew they had to win Game 2 to avoid an 0-2 deficit. Through the first two and a half quarters, it appeared the Spurs were on their way to notching another road win at the Pepsi Center.

After leading by as many as 19 points in the first half, the Spurs managed to go up by 19 points for a second time late in the third quarter, which created a feeling of uneasiness for the home crowd.

From that point on, however, the Nuggets turned things around in a big way. Thanks to some clutch shooting from Jamal Murray, the Nuggets outscored the Spurs 55-27 down the stretch en route to a 114-105 victory, tying the series at one game apiece.

Here’s a look at the three biggest takeaways from the Nuggets’ Game 2 victory.
