It’s time to call BS on many of the wild and wacky NBA trade rumors currently swirling around some of the league’s top talents as the deadline nears.

One of the most difficult tasks NBA followers face at this point in the season is figuring out which trade rumblings to believe. There’s so much speculation and conjecture floating around that the fact is quickly diluted by waves upon waves of fiction.

Then again, we should be used to it by now. It happens every year — someone takes a small piece of information, and turns it into concrete proof that a superstar is about to be on the move. As we all know, though, it doesn’t always play out that way. More often than not, there is no fire to go along with the smoke.

That’s why we’re here today. Instead of sitting around wading through a sea of uncertainty, we should call BS on the unfounded and unrealistic trade rumors. There’s simply too much nonsense out there to not take a stand, especially with a few stars allegedly finding their ways onto the trade block in recent days.

Now obviously, I don’t know any more than the sources some of these rumors are coming from. However, instead of jumping at the opportunity to blow something out of proportion, I’m going to take a logical, level-headed look at these rumors.
