Right now, the Cleveland Cavaliers are rumored to have their sights set on trades for DeAndre Jordan, George Hill or Lou Williams. Here are three trade proposals to bring each target to town.
After coming into the season as one of the favorites in the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers have looked like a shell of their former selves at times this season. They’ve lost nine of their last 12 games, and are currently in third place in the East.
That’s why there are so many trade rumors swirling right now about the Cavaliers’ plans before the deadline. They need to inject some youth and defense into this lineup, especially if they’re going to convince LeBron James to stick around instead of testing free agency in July.
As it turns out, recent reports from the New York Times‘ Marc Stein are currently suggesting the Cavaliers are targeting DeAndre Jordan, George Hill and Lou Williams. While all would fill different roles for this team, all could play pivotal roles in helping turn Cleveland’s season around. The problem is figuring out what the Cavaliers have/are willing to offer for each of them.
With that in mind, I’ve put together what I believe are solid trade proposals for the Cavaliers to acquire the aforementioned targets. They may not be the best options out there, but it’s not like Cleveland has a ton of assets to work with.
