The Chicago Bulls have reached the first-quarter mark of the 2016-17 season. As expected, this group has had its fair share of highs and lows.

Let’s begin with the positives first.

The Bulls won their first three games of the season, something the team hadn’t done since the 1996-97 campaign. Additionally, they won four of the six games on their annual circus trip.

On the other side of the equation, the Bulls have experienced some growing pains as well. Along with suffering blowout losses to the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks, the injury bug has already reared its ugly head once again.

Doug McDermott is still going through concussion protocol after sustaining his second one of the season. Michael Carter-Williams, whom the Bulls acquired via a trade for Tony Snell, is still on the shelf thanks to a bone chip in his left wrist.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the Bulls have dropped four of their last five games and are barely above the .500 mark with an 11-10 record.

The bad news is the Bulls are two games behind their 13-8 mark from 2015-16. The good news is the team should get better as the season progresses.

Before we look that far ahead though, here is a look at which players have excelled through during the first quarter of the season.
