For a 67-win San Antonio Spurs team that simply got bested by an Oklahoma City Thunder squad playing its best basketball at the perfect time, their premature offseason came with a ton of questions.

Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge are a terrific tandem to build around for the future, but should the Spurs be concerned by Tony Parker‘s noticeable drop-off? Would Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili retire? And which free agent could help San Antonio elevate itself into that upper tier of elite super-teams?

With Mike Conley set to re-sign in Memphis, Kevin Durant choosing the Dubs and Al Horford being swayed by the Boston Celtics, some of the Spurs’ ideal fits are off the board. After learning KD was out of the picture, San Antonio moved quickly, agreeing to a two-year, $30 million deal with Pau Gasol.

In order to make room for his salary, however, the Spurs had to part ways with an essential piece of their bench depth, trading Boris Diaw to the suddenly deep Utah Jazz, per Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical. Here’s a look at some NBA Trade Grades for both sides.
