Not every high-profile NBA player is in the most ideal of situations. The following big names are in dire need of a change of scenery.

There’s nothing more frustrating in the world of sports than when a gifted player is stuck in the wrong situation. No matter how talented they may be, without structure, their ceiling will be unjustly lowered.

Environment is paramount in the NBA, and for a number of high-profile players, their current situation is not conducive to optimal success.

In some cases, a logjam has been created with multiple star-caliber talents at the same position. In others, it’s merely a case of their respective organizations not quite knowing how to put their skills to use.

In one case more tragic than the others, an organization has been so poor in its decision making that a borderline superstar simply can no longer withstand the collateral damage.

All five players have significant value on the open market. Thus, it stands to reason that an organization could both be willing and able to send one of their most recognizable players elsewhere.

The question is, which high-profile players are in dire need of a trade?
