The Brooklyn Nets have traded Thaddeus Young to the Indiana Pacers for the 20th pick in this year’s draft. Here are NBA Trade Grades for both sides.
As always, the lesson is: Larry Bird doesn’t mess around.
In a draft-day trade with the Brooklyn Nets, the Indiana Pacers have shipped out the 20th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft and a future protected second round pick in exchange for Thaddeus Young.
The deal adding a useful swingman to Indiana and moving Brooklyn back into the first round was first reported by The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
With the departure of head coach Frank Vogel and Bird going on record numerous times about wanting to play faster, adding a versatile forward like Young will only aid the ongoing small-ball movement. Meanwhile, Sean Marks gets his first bit of action as the Nets’ new general manager.
To make sense of this latest pre-draft trade, here’s a look at NBA Trade Grades for each side.
