3. New Orleans Pelicans

When you think of a big man partner for Greg Monroe, there likely isn’t a better candidate than Anthony Davis.

Davis is a freak, which is of course meant in the most complimentary way possible. His ability to cover space, space the floor, provide defense from the help side, pass, rebound and do everything have many believing that there will be at least one MVP in his future.

While Davis provides all of this, the New Orleans Pelicans have been resistant to putting him at center full time and seem to prefer having a bruising body next to him.

Monroe providing a consistent inside threat and taking the beating at center would help take pressure off of Davis as well reduce the physical toll he incurs throughout the season.

The Pelicans have the sixth overall pick in this draft as well as several assets on the team that could be moved. They are looking to flip their roster while remaining competitive, something that making a move for Greg Monroe would help facilitate.

While there would still be a lot of work ahead, a Monroe/Davis tandem is a pretty good place to start.
