Here are five prospects projected to go in the second round of this year’s draft that the Los Angeles Lakers should consider with the 32nd pick.

As with any draft, all of the hype is surrounding prospects projected to go in the first round, especially those believed to be lottery picks.

Everyone is obsessed with their potential, which current players they resemble, what teams might pick them and what impact they might be able to have on said teams.

However, history has shown us that gems can also be found in the late first round and even the second round of the draft.

Hall of Famers like Dennis Rodman and even current stars in Draymond Green, Isaiah Thomas, Marc Gasol and DeAndre Jordan all went on to have stellar careers after slipping to the second round of the draft.

In the case of the Los Angeles Lakers, they found starting 2-guard and 2014-15 All-Rookie First Team member Jordan Clarkson in the second round of the 2014 draft.

While the majority of the hype is about who the Lakers will take with the second overall pick, the team also has a solid second round pick with the 32nd overall selection.

The team has the option to use the pick to trade back into the first round but if they decide to stay put, here are five players that they should keep their eye on.
