The 2016 NBA Draft is an event unlike any other in the world of professional basketball. In just one evening, 30 organizations will make decisions that will forever impact their respective trajectory and roster structure.

One perfect pick can push a team to the moon, and one flawed selection can be equally as detrimental.

In 2016, a number of prospects are both intriguing and frightening general managers across the NBA. Their upside is exhilarating and on par with the stars, but their bust potential is very real, and very scary.

Thus, when teams face the option of selecting these players, both the invigorating highs and agonizing lows will be factored in.

These players are endearingly and fearsomely referred to as, “Boom-or-bust prospects.” There’s generally believed to be a minimal in-between for said athletes, with the most likely outcomes being their development into a high-caliber player or an absolute wreck.

For better and worse, these are the Top 10 boom or bust prospects in the 2016 NBA Draft.
