A few rookies have dominated both the competition and the NBA spotlight this season, but this issue of Ti’s Four-Point Play is focused on four more who haven’t gotten the same amount of coverage.

It’s great that some rookies are performing at a very high level this season. Karl-Anthony Towns, Kristaps Porzingis and, more recently, D’Angelo Russell are tearing up the NBA, and thus getting a lot of national media attention.

Those guys deserve all the press coverage and then some. Performing at a high level as a rookie is very challenging, and also pretty rare.

All of the focus being on those players has an unfortunate side effect. Rookies preforming at a typical rookie level are being unfairly judged–and often, ignored–because of the titans emerging out of the 2015 NBA Draft.

It’s time to shine a light on a few of these rooks that are adding a lot to their teams. These players may never be superstars, but all of them are already contributing as much as they can to their team.

This issue of Ti’s Four-Point Play is concerned with four such rookies: Frank Kaminsky, Stanley Johnson, Nikola Jokic, and T.J. McConnell. Hopefully this won’t be the last article covering these four–all of them deserve at least a bit of recognition.
