The mid-major programs don’t get enough love as it is. That much is certain.

However, because the programs don’t get a lot of attention, the top players from these smaller name conferences also don’t get a lot of attention.

While the nation’s attention is focused elsewhere, some of the mid-major’s top players will soon take center stage during their respective conference tournaments. From there, some of them will move on to the NCAA tournament, the place where mid-major names become legacies in the span of three days.

C.J. McCollum, R.J. Hunter and Stephen Curry are just a few names that come to mind as mid-major players who have made themselves stars in the NCAA tournament and beyond. They’re the names you wish you knew about before their breakout performances and the names you’ll remember for a long time.

Don’t be late to the party. Know about the top mid-major players before March so you can see those upsets coming and brag about how you knew of that one scorer who crushed the blue blood.
