NBA trade rumors are plentiful as the Feb. 18 deadline approaches — here are the five teams most in need of major personnel changes.

The NBA trade deadline is always a blast, and that is especially so when the playoff race is as tight as it’s been this year.

With 13 playoff-caliber teams competing for eight spots in the East, and Western Conference powerhouses struggling, this trade season is gearing up to be one of the best in recent memory. The Feb. 18 deadline is less than a month away, and now, timeliness becomes an important factor for deal-seeking clubs.

The trial period is over; front offices are forced to decide who’s going to stay, and who’s going to go.

Golden State and San Antonio being exceptions, the NBA landscape looks far more even than it did last season, or the one before that. Thus, it’s hard to predict exactly who the buyers and sellers are going to be next month.

Having said that, there are some teams that just need to change something, whether that means upgrading talent and pushing for the playoffs or making foundational moves with the future in mind. In any case, here are five franchises that need major changes to come at this year’s deadline:
