While the Chicago Bulls have had their share of ups and downs this season, it appears that the fast-paced offense Fred Hoiberg wanted to implement is starting to take shape.

The Chicago Bulls defeated the Boston Celtics 101-192 on Jan. 7 and with that victory, the extended their winning streak to six games. Even more important, they have the second-best record in the eastern conference.

Well, for the time being, at least.

The question is, what has gotten into this team as of late? Earlier in the season, there were times when this group looked downright awful.

For example, in a matchup against the Charlotte Hornets back in early November, the Bulls were steamrolled to the tune of 130-105, with the Hornets scoring at least 30 points in every quarter. Along with that, the Bulls have also dropped games against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns and the New York Knicks. Following that loss to the Knicks, Jimmy Butler made headlines by stating that the team needed to be coached harder.

But if you thought those comments would divide this ball club, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, the Bulls have reeled off seven wins in their last nine games. Needless to say, the offense has been a big reason behind the team’s recent success and here are a few reasons why Chicago’s offense is starting to find its groove.
