With the calendar year winding down, now is as good a time as any to look back on 2015. With New Year’s Eve rapidly approaching, it’s the perfect time for reflection on the good and the bad, the highs and the lows, and the fulfilled and failed resolutions of the past year.

We’re only two months into the NBA calendar, but with 2016 already on its way and a solid sample size to work with now, there’s also never been a better time to look back on which players are exceeding expectations and which players aren’t living up to the hype in the early 2015-16 campaign.

The stars and feel-good stories always have a way of rising to the top, but what about the disappointments? Most people try to focus on the good when looking back on the past year, but for some people, the negative memories and regrets are what stands out as they eagerly await the start of a better, more enjoyable upcoming year. Such is the life of an NBA general manager as well.

Now that we know the general lay of the land in this early NBA season, it’s time to take a look at 10 players who are probably hoping for a fresh start in 2016 at this point. Here are 10 higher profile players who have failed to live up to expectations so far in 2015-16, starting with a couple of honorable mentions.
