6. Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers

While Kobe Bryant has played his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers, Shaq’s tenure in Los Angeles lasted just eight years.

What an eight years they were for the Lakers organization. The two combined forces to lead the Lakers to three straight NBA championships from 1999-00 to 2001-02, and a Finals loss against the Detroit Pistons in 2003-04.

There was always friction between Shaq and Kobe, particularly in the later stages of their time together, and it came to a head after the Lakers were defeated in the 2004 NBA Finals. Shaq moved on to Miami where he won another title with Dwyane Wade, leaving Kobe as the lone top dog in Los Angeles, who won two more championships with the Lakers.

In their eight years together, the Lakers had a record of 435-189 and a winning percentage of 69.7 percent.
