5 NBA Records The 2015-16 Golden State Warriors Can Break
At this rate, the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors are going to go down as one of the greatest teams in NBA history. They’re off to not only the best start in the history of professional basketball at 22-0, but they’re also off to the best start in the history of any major professional sport.
Coming off a 67-win season and an NBA championship, no one should be surprised to see the Dubs dominating their competition early on, but even after becoming just the third team in NBA history to win 83 games between the regular season and playoffs, the Warriors have somehow found another gear.
Reigning MVP Stephen Curry is somehow a candidate for Most Valuable Player AND Most Improved Player, Draymond Green is playing like an All-Star and even with head coach Steve Kerr still sidelined, interim coach Luke Walton has done a tremendous job in keeping this freight train rolling along.

The Warriors’ ultimate goal is obviously to win another championship, and nothing can be done about that until May and June. But as we continue to move along through a championship-caliber regular season and try to figure out where this team might rank all-time, it’s worth noting all the NBA records the Dubs might break before the season is over.
No one knows how long the Warriors can continue to stay this healthy (even with Harrison Barnes currently out), or whether they’ll take their foot off the gas if (A.K.A. “when”) they lock up the No. 1 playoff seed. But assuming this team stays healthy and continues to play at this pace, which is the more fun hypothetical scenario, here are five records that the Dubs could very well break in 2015-16.
Honorable Mention: Best home record (40-1 by the 1985-86 Boston Celtics)
The Warriors almost tied this record last season, when they went 39-2 at Oracle Arena. It’s a long season, but would anyone be surprised if the Dubs, who are winning their home games by 17.7 points per game so far in 2015-16, managed to tie or even break the record with a perfect 41-0 mark at home?
