Only a month into the 2015-16 campaign, we can already say this has been one of the weirder NBA seasons over the last few years. So far, the undefeated Golden State Warriors are miles ahead of the rest of the league, then there’s the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers, and then pretty much everyone else falls in line…somewhere.

One thing never changes, however: through the first month of a new season, everyone’s preseason predictions are put properly in their place, with the overreaction tendency making it easy to ignore the fact that we’re still working with small sample sizes.

That being said, over the first month of a season where it’s been hard to separate the playoff teams from the non-playoff teams in both conferences, there have been some undisputed disappointments. The Western Conference has taken a step back in particular, with three playoff teams from last year currently outside the top eight and nine teams under .500.

Bearing that in mind, here’s a look at the five most underwhelming teams in the NBA, ranked from They Forgot My Side Of Ranch levels of disappointment to outright Middle Child disappointing.
