The power structure is constantly changing in the NBA. In 2015-16, that alteration is already being displayed with a number of players reaching new heights of fame and productivity.

The question is, how rapidly is the landscape changing?

To answer that question, a weekly evaluation of the NBA’s most prolific players will be executed. These rankings are not a shrine to the past, but instead a pure evaluation of the present day.

In other words, the rankings are based on what’s transpired in 2015-16—not the awards, accolades or past achievements of NBA superstars.

Some players are soon to plummet down and out of these rankings, making way for the stars we’ve come to know. Others are breaking out and arriving, thus positioning themselves to remain in the Top 20 as the season progresses.

One way or another, the following players have emerged as the best in the NBA thus far.

Note: Once again, these rankings are based on player performance—not reputation or legacy.
