After their potential championship campaign was derailed by injuries in 2014-15, the Oklahoma City Thunder will be looking to cash in on the Kevin DurantRussell Westbrook era with a title run this season. That being said, there are some definite needs on the roster other than everyone staying healthy for once. With Durant set to be a free agent next summer, it’s do-or-die time for the Thunder and the pressure is on OKC to nail their first round draft pick with a player who can either contribute to a championship-caliber roster as a rookie or make KD feel even more secure about his long-term future in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder have arguably been the best talent evaluators in the NBA over the last few seasons, so even with the last pick in the lottery at No. 14, there’s a good chance the team that landed Durant, Westbrook, James Harden, Serge Ibaka, Steven Adams and Mitch McGary walks away with yet another terrific player.

The question is, who will that player be? And how will OKC address its main areas of need, namely, bolstering the backcourt or finding a versatile wing who can spread the floor with a three-point shot? Here’s a look at the top five first round draft options for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
