The Cleveland Cavaliers are facing elimination for the first time this postseason following their 104-91 loss to the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. To say that LeBron James has been the heart and soul of this undermanned squad would be an understatement.

While James knew he would have to play an integral part in leading the Cavs on a successful postseason run, I’m sure he did not envision having to carry the team on his back both figuratively and literally. In fact, through the first five games of this series, James is averaging an unworldly 36.6 points, 12.4 rebounds and 8.8 assists per contest.

And although Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving–the team’s second and third-leading scorers have been sidelined with injuries, James and the Cavs have served notice that they are going to be more than just a speed bump against a Warriors team seeking to win its first title in 40 years. The question is, can the Cavs defy the odds once again and force a Game 7 back at Oracle Arena?
