Stephen Curry helped lead the Golden State Warriors to an unbelievable 67-win season. James Harden has overcome injuries to key teammates, including Dwight Howard, to lead the Houston Rockets to the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.

LeBron James has been extraordinary during the second half of the season, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers from 19-20 to 53-29. Russell Westbrook’s statistics were Michael Jordan-esque and Chris Paul helped the Los Angeles Clippers quietly secure the No. 3 seed in the West.

For as spectacular as others players have been in 2014-15, the NBA MVP should go to a player who’s somehow flown under the radar: New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis.

It all starts with his numbers.
