More from Memphis Grizzlies

The camaraderie and immaculate performances that had once propelled Memphis to a scintillating record has nearly dissipated. During their last two home stands, when it came time to prove their championship capacity, the Grizzlies were pulverized by the top-tier Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.

They’re barely over .500 in their last 15 game stretch (8-7) — a run filled with unimpressive victories and head-scratching losses to bottom-feeding teams.

Injuries have certainly played a role in Memphis’ downfall, but if they allow their underwhelming play to linger, the Grizzlies will find themselves waiting for the salmon to swim upstream after the first round in May — or as the basketball pundits call it, they’ll be “Gone fishing.”

In the occasion that the aforementioned events transpire, Marc Gasol should opt to relocate to a different team at the end of the season. Below are four reasons why.
