In a weekend that saw a number of major upsets shake up the region, the Midwest Region remains somewhat in tact. With the Kentucky Wildcats still undefeated, the path has been set for John Calipari’s squad to advance to Indianapolis.

However, there are three other teams vying for that opportunity as well, including West Virginia, who is accustomed to facing Kentucky when they are credited with being one of, if not the, best teams in the country.
Flash back to 2010 when the Wildcats featured John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Eric Bledsoe. Bob Huggins’ team, led by Joe Mazzulla of all people, took down the vaunted future NBA players and advanced to the Final Four.
But that was then, and this is now. And with three games total left to play in Cleveland this weekend, plenty more can happen to make for a very interesting Elite Eight matchup.
