LSU, Please Keep It Consistent

How many people actually have faith that the LSU Tigers are going to make a long run in the NCAA Tournament? Please raise your hands (my hand is raised too). After those hands are raised, please attempt to give yourself a hug because either you’re an LSU Tigers fan, or someone who’s about to get heartbroken.

On paper the LSU Tigers have enough weapons to make a long run in the tournament. They’ve got two potential All-Americans on their roster in Jarell Martin, and Jordan Mickey. They’ve got a capable shooter in Keith Hornsby and they’ve got one of the most intelligent coaches in college basketball in Johnny Jones.

The game of basketball isn’t played on paper though.

When LSU played in the SEC Tournament they too were also defeated by Auburn which leaves a lot of room for concern. Either the stars of their team were fatigued, or they’re not ready to compete on this type of stage. Each could be true.

However, LSU needs to start playing better because when the NCAA tournament starts there is no second chances. Another lackluster performance could people feeling like their season was a regret. Thankfully LSU has the parts of a winning team, they just need to start playing like it.
