The week that just passed has shown a lot.

The rookie that’s paying off the most for his team is Andrew Wiggins. The Minnesota Timberwolves took a gamble trading away the best player on their franchise since Kevin Garnett (Kevin Love), and they got a talented small forward who one day, might be greater than each of them. Wiggins signature performance of the season once again came at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

More from NBA Awards Watch

Wiggins finished with a huge game, scoring a career-high 33 points.

One of the teams within our rookie rankings that deserves some notice is the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers keep striking gold because once again they have another rookie, JaKarr Sampson, on our rookie rankings.

Their entire team is starting to play well together and the rookies within our list are a huge reason for their success. Nerlens Noel, K.J. McDaniels, and Jerami Grant are all playing huge roles for the Sixers and each of them are starting to rapidly get better. It’s exciting to see the future of this team develop together.

On another note, congratulations to all of the rookies with in our list who made the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge.
