The 2014-15 NBA regular season began on Tuesday, October 28. In the short time since, early-season trends have developed, thus sparking some combination of intrigue, excitement and overreaction.

The question is, what actually matters from what we’ve seen thus far?

Entering the second weekend of the 2014-15 season, it’s hard to find much to hold onto as concrete evidence for what’s to come. Most teams a smaller-than-necessary sample size.

With that being said, some of what we’ve seen already is likely to continue. Some of it is not.
