In the world of sports, no player is as monumentally praised or tragically criticized as the primary source of offense.

Despite the defense wins championships mentality that’s been adopted, the general population’s main focus remains on offense. Most specifically, the star contributor on every professional team.

As the FIBA World Cup wraps up and preparation for the NBA season begin, it’s time to clarify what it means to be a great scorer; it’s time to set the standard.

Before the 2014-15 regular season commences we’ve broken out the NBA Power Rankings, and the following question must be answered: who are the Top 30 scorers in the NBA today?

Note: These rankings are based solely on each player’s present day scoring ability.
