It’s almost a year since I wrote my first article for HoopsHabit, and where so much has changed in some regards, in other ways things are exactly the same. That first piece that I refer to was titled “Is It Time For Jeff Teague To Break Out?” and if I was to post it unchanged today, I’m sure the majority of the sentiment would still apply.

More from Atlanta Hawks

The point is, Atlanta Hawks fans are still waiting, in hope more than anything else, for Teague to make the next big jump. Don’t get me wrong, Teague is a very good player, and one of the better point guards in the league, but he shows flashes suggesting he’s capable of so much more.

Up until Christmas last year, Teague looked very much on track to make an All-Star appearance, but then the wheels came off, and weren’t securely fitted again until his dominant playoff play.

The real question is how can Jeff Teague alter his game to become truly elite? Or should Hawks fans just accept him for what he is?
