When we’re doing NBA rankings for the best shooters in the league, we have to look at more than simple stats — otherwise a guy like DeAndre Jordan would find himself at the top of the list (no offense, DAJ). We have to consider where the shooters are attempting their shots.

We also have to hold back our desire to hang on to the past…a guy like Steve Nash comes to mind here. Sure, he almost hit 50/40/90 in 2012-13 with the Los Angeles Lakers, but last season — he couldn’t throw it in the ocean.

These rankings are part looking back and part looking forward. Hope you enjoy them and don’t hesitate to flame let me know who I missed.

Honorable mention: Ray Allen (free agent), J.J. Redick, Steve Nash, Courtney Lee, Marco Belinelli, Tony Parker, and Pablo Prigioni
