Wednesday’s HoopsHabit Hangout was a bit …. fearful.

It’s never been fun to discuss the Los Angeles Lakers in the last two years, unless you’re heckling them and grinning from ear to ear laughing at them.  They’ve been out of contention since firing Mike Brown in November 2012, and that doesn’t seem to be changing this season.

With a bucket full of questionable additions — mixed with a couple quality decisions — Jim Buss and the Lakers face a battle for the bottom of the barrel in the Western Conference next season.  I’m not ready to count out Kobe Bryant from reaching the playoffs, it’s just going to be 2006 all over again — a one man show.  Can he handle that at age 36?  We’ll leave that to the godspeed of knee rehabilitation.

Today, we have a roundtable of columnists going through multiple NBA topics, but the focal point of the show will be on these misfit Lakers.

I’m joined by Editor-in-Chief Michael Dunlap, and Assistant Editors Gerald Bourguet and Phil Watson on an in-depth podcast episode.  Enjoy!
