When you consider the biggest decisions the Pistons have to make this offseason, they all resolve around the log jam last summer’s moves created up front. Andre Drummond is the team’s center for the foreseeable future, but Detroit really needs to choose between Josh Smith and Greg Monroe to partner with him.

If the Pistons decide to re-sign Monroe this summer, they should look at moving Josh Smith, with the Sacramento Kings reportedly interested. On the other hand, if they decide Smith is their man, they need to move him to his natural power forward position and find a genuine small forward option.

This is where Parsons comes in. Either way, finding a legitimate small forward option capable of spacing the floor seems like the best move for the Pistons this summer.

If that is the road they go down, guys like Gordon Hayward, Luol Deng and indeed, Parsons should be top of their list.
