The Skinny
Dante Exum, the enigmatic Australian point guard, has been the mystery man of the 2014 draft for quite some time. He appears to possess all the raw talent and physical tools to be an elite player but we have only had limited opportunities to see him compete against top level competition.

Dante’s father, Cecil, played alongside Michael Jordan on the 1982 championship team at North Carolina and went on to play professionally in the Australian NBL. You can see that Dante has been around the game his entire life and has a deep understanding of the game.

Exum was the youngest player ever to make the Australian men’s national team roster and has since made his international debut.

Exum has impressed in junior international competitions including the U/19 World Championships in 2013 and more recently at the International Hoops Summit where he went up against other top prospects in the draft. He has spent months living in the U.S. preparing with his agent and trainers specifically for the draft and has every team from No.1 onwards intrigued by his talent and potential.
