Mike Scott was one of the surprise packages of the Atlanta Hawks’ season.

One of the biggest questions about the Hawks before the season started was where would their scoring come from off the bench? The most obvious answer was Louis Williams, but coming back from a long term injury, it wasn’t clear how he would play this year.

After finishing last season with a number of eye-catching games, it was Scott that became one of the Hawks’ primary scoring options off the bench. The former Virginia Cavalier was drafted with the 43rd pick in 2012, and as a second-rounder, expectations for him were relatively low.

So, when that guy shows up in a playoff series with one of the most explosive quarters of the season, he’s going to attract some attention. Scott’s highlight performances, eccentric character and emoji tattoos have piqued the interest of NBA fans, but it’s the 25-year-old’s game that should be grabbing the spotlight.

Scott showed startling development this season, and there’s no reason to believe he won’t step forward again next year.

Lets take a look at some of the key components of Scott’s game this season.
