INDIANA PACERS 86, Washington Wizards 82 (Series tied 1-1)

He’s Alive — Roy Hibbert is back from the dead (again), as he scored 28 points with nine rebounds and two blocked shots on 10-for-13 from the field. He was also a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line. The Pacers kicked it up a notch defensively when they needed to, allowing the Wizards to score just 37 points in the second half and only one fast break point for the entire game.

George Hill scored 14 points, Lance Stephenson added 12 with seven rebounds and five assists (on 3-for-12 shooting) and Paul George had another substandard game, scoring just 11 points with six rebounds, four assists and two steals on 5-for-13 from the field. Ian Mahinmi led the bench scorers with six points.

Washington had a chance to take a commanding 2-0 series lead, but their hot shooting from Game 1 didn’t carry over. They went just 5-for-21 (23.8 percent) from the 3-point line as a team and made just 5-of-12 from the foul line (41.7 percent). Coach Randy Wittman has to feel they let this one slip away. Marcin Gortat led them with 21 points and 11 rebounds, with Bradley Beal adding 17 points, five rebounds, seven assists and two steals.
