Welcome to the second round of the NBA Playoffs!

It’s been a wild, thrilling ride since April 19, and the first round gets many votes for being the best opening two weeks of in playoff history.  Five Game 7’s are in the books, with the only teams advancing early being the Washington Wizards, Miami Heat, and Portland Trail Blazers.  Since the postseason has been in full-swing, we’ve seen numerous awards handed out, dreams crushed, overtime frenzies, suspensions, and a clutch maniac from “Rip City.”  Would we want it any other way?

Today on the Hard Screens Podcast, HoopsHabit scribe Shane Young (@YoungNBA) is joined by co-editor Gerald Bourguet (@GeraldBourguet) to offer their analysis and picks for each matchup in the second round.

With the conference semifinals come four matchups that all garner attention.  The Eastern Conference actually looks competitive again, and the winner of the Western Conference will need physical therapy from all the lengthy series.

Eastern Conference:

(1) Indiana Pacers vs. (5) Washington Wizards

(2) Miami Heat vs. (6) Brooklyn Nets

Western Conference:

(1) San Antonio Spurs vs. (5) Portland Trail Blazers

(2) Oklahoma City Thunder vs. (3) Los Angeles Clippers
