The Chicago Bulls wound down the regular season with two contests on the slate over the past week—a home game against the Orlando Magic on April 14 and a road game against the Charlotte Bobcats on April 16.

The Bulls split those games to finish the season with a 48-34 record and they will play against the Washington Wizards in the first round of the playoffs.

Although the Bulls are expected to win the series, they are not overlooking their opponent.

As Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports, Bulls forward Taj Gibson had this to say about the Wizards:

"Tough team, man. Tough, tough team. They gave us so many problems in the regular season. Great shooters, great bigs in Nene and [Marcin] Gortat. John Wall is playing some great basketball; Bradley Beal is playing great, too. Their bench is even loaded up. It’s going to be tough, man."

It will be a touch matchup indeed as the Wizards took two of three from the Bulls during the regular season and it would not be wise to take this team lightly.

But before we get into all the playoff talk, let’s take a look back on the week that was in Bulls basketball, including game recaps, game MVPs, player of the week award and the upcoming schedule.
