Welcome to your Daily NBA Fix for Saturday, Feb. 22, the morning after MarShon Brooks and Kent Bazemore made a strong first impression in front of their new fans with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Brooks scored 10 points in the fourth quarter and Bazemore drilled a couple of big 3-pointers in the final four minutes and change as the Lakers rallied for a win over the Boston Celtics.

Brooks, in particular, appears to be well grounded, even as his career has imploded since a solid debut season with the New Jersey Nets in 2011-12.

"“You know what, man?” Brooks told the Associated Press. “A lot of people think I should be mad at the Boston Celtics. But I guarantee you, no one is happier for me than Brad Stevens and Jay Larranaga. They’ve seen all the work I’ve put in and it’s paid off.”’"

There were other old faces in new places Friday night: Spencer Hawes made his debut with Cleveland after being dealt from the 76ers, while Jan Vesely and Aaron Brooks tried on Denver’s powder blue after deadline day deals.

The Daily NBA Fix will deliver highlights, game capsules, the top and bottom five players, the dreaded Goose Egg, Clean and Sober and Ironman awards, we’ll recap who’s circling the drain, there will be some interesting pieces of relevant (and not-so-relevant) information and we’ll look at today’s daily lines for those people who like to wager a buck or two.

Check out the highlights below from the night that was, then get into the game capsules (home teams in CAPS).
