In a week disrupted by weather, the Detroit Pistons got some much needed time to rest and regroup.

The week began with the visit of the Orlando Magic to the Motor City for the second meeting of the season between the two teams. In their previous matchup in Orlando this year, the Pistons had lost by 17. Detroit were scheduled to fly straight to Atlanta after the conclusion of the game in Florida, but adverse weather conditions put a stop to this. With Atlanta crippled by a passing snow storm, making the local transport network unsafe for travel, the game was rescheduled until later in the season. With an extended spell at home in Detroit, the Pistons then had more time to prepare for their clash with 76ers, a team they had beaten in their previous two meetings.

The Pistons would finish the week 2-0.
