Nick Young, or his alter-ego Swaggy P, was involved in an incident during the second quarter of Wednesday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns. Young driving hard to the basket for the emphatic dunk was fouled pretty hard by rookie Alex Len, Young took exception and a fracas soon ensued.

Young is never one to be bashful or hide regarding anything and this was no different. He was soon surrounded by a horde of Suns’ players and took a couple of swipes at Goran Dragic earning himself a one-game suspension without pay. Here is video of the “fight”.

It was certainly a hard foul by Len, but honestly I don’t agree with his ejection. I think a flagrant one would have sufficed for a foul like this, but in today’s NBA he was given the flagrant two and was ejected like Young. Len was also fined $15,000 for his foul (ridiculous) and Marcus Morris was fined $25,000 for his involvement as well. The Suns would go on to win the game 121-114.

Young will miss the Lakers’ next game which is scheduled for Friday night in Boston against the Celtics. It’s been a rough season for the Lakers and this is just one of many valleys they have experienced so far. For all his antics Young really has been a solid contributor in D’Antoni’s offense and they will surely miss his increased offensive output on Friday. Over the last 10 games Young has been averaging 18.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per night on 41.2 percent shooting.

Honestly he’s lucky he didn’t get more games — count yourselves lucky Laker fans.
