Andre Drummond has quietly emerged as one of the league’s best under-25 players as he as greatly improved in his second year in the league. This season, Drummond is averaging 13.2 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game while posting a player efficiency rating (PER) of 22.55, which is 15th in the league and third among all centers (league average is 15). When the Pistons drafted Drummond last year, they had plans of him becoming the franchise’s next great center and he is definitely moving in the right direction to do so. Last season Drummond averaged 9.5 points and 9.1 rebounds a game, showing his great potential at the center position. This season, while leading the league in offensive rebounding, he has a chance to be a franchise changing player in the future for the Pistons. With Drummond’s growing development and being only 20 years old, he has a lot of time to perfect his craft. Watch out for Andre Drummond for years to come.
