* Detroit’s Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is right on the edge of the rankings week after week but nothing he has done this season stands out. Well, that’s not exactly true. His amazing 37 percent field goal shooting and 32 percent from 3-point range has been golden for the Pistons this year.

* Milwaukee’s Nate Wolters, once again, finds himself on the outside looking in. He ranks sixth among rookies in minutes per game and field goal percentage, eighth in scoring, third in assists and second in assist-to-turnover ratio. His big problem? He plays for the Milwaukee Bucks, who are a mess entirely. Also, shooting 8 percent from 3-point range doesn’t help matters either.

* Oklahoma City’s Steven Adams has been a great pick for the Thunder despite what most everybody felt of the pick on draft night. He’s not dazzling on the stat sheet (3.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game) but he’s been a valuable asset to the Thunder this season. Adams is giving an added dimension to the front court rotation, playing well with Nick Collison in the reserves role. He might not be on the list, but he can’t be forgotten about.
