One That Counts – Damian Lillard shot just 6-for-21 from the field, but he beat the buzzer in overtime to bring the Blazers (21-4) back from a double-digit deficit. Lillard ended with 23 points, seven assists and three steals. LaMarcus Aldridge added 27 with 12 rebounds and three blocks. The Pistons (11-14) got 31 from Josh Smith and 13 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and three blocks from Andre Drummond.

DENVER NUGGETS 102, New Orleans Pelicans 93

Dy-no-mite! – Yes, a J.J. Walker reference. Sue me. J.J. Hickson scored 19 with 11 rebounds and two steals to get the Nuggets (14-9) back on track. Wilson Chandler also had 19, with Nate Robinson adding 14 off the bench. Free-throws were the difference, with the Nuggets making nine more. The Pelicans (11-11) got 26 from Ryan Anderson and 17 from Austin Rivers off the bench. They (and we) miss Anthony Davis.
