3. Fantasy Basketball Sleepers: Zion’s return overshadows star Brandon Ingram.

All is well in the Big Easy, where Zion Williamson appears to be in the best shape of his life following a season lost to injury. During that time, Brandon Ingram stepped up as the top dog for the New Orleans Pelicans, and even though Williamson is back in action, draftees shouldn’t operate under the assumption Ingram is less than a 1B for this team.

Zion isn’t a primary ball-handler, but Ingram sure as heck is. He’s uniquely qualified to run an offense with the playmaking and dribbling qualities of a point forward while dazzling the crowd with a scoring punch extending from the three-point line into the paint. Maybe Williamson’s return will decrease the number of shots we see from Ingram, but if that ends up being the case, it’ll likely come back around in the assist column.

Plus, this is a perimeter-oriented league, and even when you have a singular talent like Zion, you still need a perimeter star to make it all click. That’s where Brandon Ingram comes in, so don’t be shocked if he makes it back to the All-Star game this season.

Average draft position is 51.8 on Yahoo, 48 on ESPN.
